Modella Web brings visual design, content, forms, integrations, and publishing together in a single workspace.

The platform allows users to build websites using pages, sections, and elements, incorporate custom development in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and connect the public-facing experience with external services. Each project organizes its content, settings, and languages, along with the forms and products it requires.

Its architecture connects two environments: one for creating and managing sites, and another for delivering the experience used by visitors.

The solution

A project as the meeting point between design, content, and functionality

The project is the central unit in Modella Web. It groups the site's pages and the configurations they share: resources, variables, languages, catalogs, and integrations.

Visual pages are built with sections and elements. This structure makes it possible to work on a specific part of the site, reuse content, and maintain a consistent organization as the site grows.

The platform also makes it possible to clone projects and pages and use them as a starting point for new work, with their own content and configuration.

Two ways to build within the same platform

Visual editor

It makes it possible to compose pages with text, images, video, animations, galleries, buttons, and forms. The team can work on structure and design or focus on editing content, reviewing the layout at different screen sizes.

Code editor

It makes it possible to create pages with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, manage associated resources, and reuse code snippets and templates. It provides a space for developing custom interactions or layouts within the same project.

Modella AI provides assistance for generating and modifying content and code, as well as suggesting structures for the visual editor based on the project's configuration.

One platform, two complementary environments

Creation and management

The administrative environment brings together the tools the team uses to build and maintain each site.

From this environment, it is possible to:

• Organize projects and pages.

• Design visually and edit content.

• Create code-based pages and manage reusable resources.

• Configure variables and versions in different languages.

• Associate forms and integrations.

• Manage products and configure Stripe or PayPal.

• Prepare publishing and configure indexing and analytics settings.

Publishing and visitor experience — Viewer only

The Viewer delivers the published pages and the interactions enabled for each project.

Visitors can browse the site, view content, switch languages, complete forms, or start a payment process when these features are configured.

The public experience uses its own runtime resources. The Viewer deployment excludes the Modella Web editor from its build and registers the routes required for public modules.

This separation makes it possible to maintain one specialized environment for producing sites and another dedicated to serving them.

Connected functionality around each project

Forms

Modella Form makes it possible to build forms with fields, validations, and text in multiple languages and embed them in pages. Step-based form experiences are also supported.

Integrations

Modella Interfaces connects the website and its forms with APIs and webhooks. Configured actions can exchange information with external services and trigger processes associated with the project.

Products and payments

Projects can present products and enable payment processes through Stripe or PayPal, with administrative tools for viewing and managing transactions.

Languages

Pages can have linked language versions. Forms, variables, and products can also include localized content to adapt different parts of the experience.

The platform includes metadata, sitemaps, and content versions that are accessible without running JavaScript. It also provides text files to make content easier for AI tools to read. Analytics and marketing integrations are linked to the visitor’s consent categories.

From design to the published experience

The workflow connects the team's decisions with what visitors ultimately use:

1. Create the project and organize its pages.

2. Build the visual design or develop code-based pages.

4. Review the result and configure its publishing settings.
